How it works - Reading

Timed flashcard that adapts
The software is based on research into the speed at which the eyes scan text. Poor readers tend to read one word at a time - proficient readers are those who take in several words at a glance, read faster and understand more. The program uses a timed flashcard method that adjusts to each student's progress, speeding up or slowing down as appropriate.

Variety of background screens
There are several screen designs so any age can use it without feeling patronised.

Choice of exercise type
There are two types of exercises:
    a multiple choice which really comes into its own for phrases
    typing - good for practising spelling single words
No two exercises are ever the same, even when using the same set of words, so you never run out of useful challenges.
