"SCANiTplus is a unique program for learners of any age who need to improve skills in reading fluency, spelling or numeracy. The program is easy to set up, but deceptively powerful and is based on research into the speed at which the eyes scan text. Words to be read are presented for an adjustable ‘flash’ time, which automatically decreases as the pupil’s reading speed and memory improves. There are various screen designs to choose from and a child's voice can be selected to prompt younger children, providing encouraging feedback. Pupils are also given the opportunity to view progress charts at regular intervals and can work unsupervised on graded activities."
